On desktop or the web, open Settings in the sidebar > Billing > Change plan and choose the free plan. Bought in the mobile app? Cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
Steps
On the web or desktop app
Open Settings in the sidebar.
Go to Billing and select Change plan.
Choose the plan you want to move to and select Continue.
Give feedback if asked, then select Downgrade.
Billed by Apple or Google?
If you subscribed inside an iPhone or Android app, the app store bills you and you cancel there.
Billed by Apple (iPhone or iPad)
Open Settings and tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions, then the subscription.
Tap Cancel Subscription.
Billed by Google Play (Android)
Open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions on your phone.
Select the subscription.
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.
When it ends
You keep your paid plan until the end of the billing cycle, then the workspace moves to the plan you chose.
Good to know
Plans can only be changed on desktop or the web, not in the mobile app.
Refunds: Notion gives a full refund if you downgrade within 3 days of starting monthly billing, or within 30 days of starting annual billing. Contact Notion support by email or in the app.
Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are cancelled and refunded there, not by Notion.
